Fuyuko Sato has accumulated experience in various fields, including renewable energy businesses, operating accommodation facilities, and assisting with research at research institutions.
Through her diverse work, she has reflected on living in harmony with the environment, connecting with local communities, and enriching people's lives, which now informs AoToMori's product selection and brand development.
Ziv
Ziv has been involved in connecting overseas companies and makers with the Japanese market, focusing on international business transactions and international relations.
Experience in cross-border business and a network of overseas makers.
There are things that only two people with different experiences and perspectives can discover.
With that in mind, we started AoToMori together to carefully introduce wonderful products we found abroad to Japan.
Our first product is the AoToMori sandal, born from a collaboration with Thai footwear manufacturer MooChuu.
Origin of name
"Ao" means the blue of the sea and sky, and "Mori" symbolizes the richness of nature. This name reflects our desire to create things in harmony with nature.
Materials and Manufacturing Method
These sandals were born from rubber that was once destined for disposal. Approximately 90% of the material is recycled rubber. In collaboration with our design and manufacturing partner,‘MooChuu’, we are transforming it into a product with new value while minimizing its environmental impact. Furthermore, we've adopted a manufacturing method that uses no adhesives, resulting in a simple yet tough structure that leverages the inherent strength of the material.
