High-friction recycled rubber, also used in tires
The soles are made of highly durable rubber crafted from recycled materials, including waste tires.
Thanks to the friction inherent in high-density rubber, the design makes it easy to maintain a firm grip on the ground, even on wet surfaces.
Structure without foam or adhesives
AOTOMORI sandals do not use foam and are designed without the need for adhesives.
Unlike porous foam materials that easily absorb water, high-density solid rubber does not readily soak up moisture, allowing the outsole pattern to make direct contact with the ground even when wet.
High-grip material with natural latex
Our rubber is blended with natural latex to provide both flexibility and grip.
We have designed the footbed to prevent your feet from slipping, even if the soles of your feet are wet.
Surface patterns to channel away water
Both the top of the footbed where your feet rest and the outsole that touches the ground feature tread patterns designed to channel water away.
This makes them easy to use not only on rainy days but also in environments where you might get wet, such as at the beach or poolside.
However, even with materials and structures designed to prevent slipping, natural slipping can occur depending on road conditions, water, oil, moss, sand, materials like tile or marble, and how you walk.
Please be very careful of your footing in wet areas, even when wearing AOTOMORI sandals.
